Everything you write has been gleaned from somewhere.

Paying royalties to Plato? If you wrote to him, he couldn't reply.

The sum of your knowledge, translated in your mind and written in your
words with your slant to this sum of knowledge, seems to me to be a
legitimate source of writing.

How else could you write anything?

Else we are all guilty of theft.
