Hi Joanna,
I would say, to be safe, call them up yourself.  Do everything yourself for
the first time, because you can always reject it if it costs what you don't
want to spend.  That way you can be sure.  Once you know the rules, you'll
feel more comfortable.  If you start out getting the correct information
from the source, you'll be ahead of the game.  If you are insecure about
talking to them, you could pretend you are calling for someone else,
collecting information.
