What I am offering is what I was told by another listowner who swears it 
works. After creating your e-zine, copy and paste it into notepad, then save 
it. Then you can copy and paste it from there.

Supposedly notepad wipes out any imbedded html code. I cannot say whether it 
does or not but using this method has helped me get rid of some weird 
characters that were showing up on certain email clients, such as webtv.

I have never had the strikethrough problem but it just may be crazy enough to 
work.
