I want to thank everyone for their replies. It has been helpful to me. I
especially appreciate contextual remarks, such as the above one about it
being a list for freebies, so people move on a lot.

My list is for AP Computer Science teachers, and they DON'T move on a
lot. For me to unsubscribe after one bounce would probably not be good.
I will carry the bouncing addresses for a couple of weeks or so, but
turn off delivery.

However, the hotmail address that I originally asked about has long
since been removed from my list. I imagine that person has moved on,
forgotten about that address, and certainly forgotten about my list by
now!
