[epub] Re: ezine announcements

Hi, all ...

I could really use your feedback.  I am a newbie to the ezine world and still 
getting my feet wet in the process.  I have recently launched (or I should 
say pre-launched) my ezine with varioius announcments/directories.

Just on Friday 2 of the announcement lists broadcasted my ezine to their 
mailing list even though I did not submit anything to them.  I assume they 
picked up my ezine descirption from one of the directories.

My question is one of the lists (in my mind) totally misrepresented my ezine 
since they reworded my description (without letting me know of such changes). 
 While I am very grateful they announced my ezine, I am disturbed on how it 
was written up.  My concern is their description will set up false 
expectations for some of the subscribers as to the nature of my ezine.  They 
described my ezine as a nuts and bolts business ezine and it is anything but. 
 The real focus is progressive, forward thinking, big picture.  But there 
write-up had no "juice" if you know what I mean.

I don't want to mention the list name here since I don't know if that is 
inappropriate netiquette.

I would love your thoughts on whether I should send an email to the 
announcement list and let them know they have misrepresented it??  Is this a 
customary practice for announcement lists to make major rewording changes 
where it changes the intention of the ezine?

Last question, of all the announcement lists and directories which ones have 
had the highest payoff for you in terms of subscribers??
