I have a few questions for you guys about ad swaps. 1. What have your experiences been with using ad swaps to grow your base of subscribers? I have been participating in swaps via a free ad swapping service and cannot really say that I've seen an increase. 2. If you do believe in ad swapping, do you arrange the swaps yourself or go through a service? 3. If you go through a service, how do you handle getting matched up with other e-zines that are incompatible or possibly downright offensive to your audience? The audience for my e-zine is mostly made up of Christians. Therefore, I am having trouble getting ads to run or having my ads run in publications that most of my audience would find offensive. 4. If you do use a service, can you give recommendations as to why you like that particular service? I am using Chris Dillingham's Advantage Email Cooperative. He has been helpful and good to change my ads when I've encountered problems but I almost feel that it's unfair to ask him to manually check my swaps each time to avoid these kinds of problems. I have also signed up for Max Shifrin's AdSwap Service. I got my first "assignments" today and am a little worried about one of them. Any words of advice?
