Come up with a good argument why one should NOT use HTML mail; I've been
doing it for two years solid. If it was bad, I wouldn't be doing it. Tell ya
what? We've been getting ~7.0% CTR with text ads at the bottom of our HTML
issues. The text weekly, while lively, doesn't fare so well.
Sorry, even with my most recent round of ad swaps, the best exchanges
happened with those who were: a) using Lyris, and b) distributing in HTML.
Why? Because you can insert a form that auto-includes one's e-mail address.
The argument of using an e-mail alias is valid, too. But when it comes to
electronic information delivery, the Web spoiled us. Period. Text bad. HTML
good.
Unless you're a die-hard pine freak or don't understand HTML basics. It
ain't rocket science, ya know.
