You might be very surprised. Most of the real newbies these 
days have fairly recent machines, and the only email software 
they know is [shudder] Lookout or Lookout Distress. Which, of 
course, handles HTML mail just fine. (Hey, even Microsloth 
gets a few things right...)

In fact, I suspect that this is the biggest reason for the 
upsurge in approval for HTML mail in the last year or so. They 
just don't know any better. <g>
