I am reading this at 4:45 am and my roommate is asleep
so I have to turn off my sound in case I visit a site
and get unexpected noise blasting from it.
 Then I have to remeber to turn it on again when she is
up. 

Unwanted sound is a pain - royal pain. You lose
people surfing at work (even if they are doing on
break on their time) at libraries, when using a
friend's computer to check something. . .
