[epub] an exit poll on html

Tuesday we sent our newsletter.
Since it is winter and we are a gardening company, 
we only send our weekly news every two weeks. <grin>

We sent 3388 html emails and 2076 text emails.
We received about 70 bounces (pretty normal)
and about 9 requests to be removed. (pretty normal)
 
6 of those were html and 3 were aol text.

I decided to fire off an exit question to the 6 html deserters to see if
it was because of the quality or the way they received their newsletter
that made them leave.

Here is what we asked:

"If you could do us a courtesy and just reply yes or no to the following
question,
we would really appreciate it.
 
Are you leaving because the newsletter was received with coding or was
gobbledygook?
 
Thank you.
 
PS We have removed you as you requested.

All six folks responded (which I thought was amazing)!

All six said NO!

Actually only one guy said just NO.

The other five said things like " it is a beautiful newsletter, but I don't
have a garden anymore and it makes me depressed"

One guy did say the newsletter came through fine, but he did prefer text
news.
But that was not why he was leaving.


Anyway, I thought I would share this with you for whatever value you can
glean from it.

It made me feel more confident in our html endeavor.
