I like both of them, in fact I've set it up so my daily 
edition will go on one and my semiweekly will go on the 
other.

One thing that sets Topica apart though is the commission 
you get for ad insertions.  on the other hand Yahoo! Groups 
has more options and can handle HTML and attachment 
stripping.

For me, if you're planning on a discussion group, go for 
Yahoo! Groups, if your planning on an announcement list, go 
for Topica.
