Those are great questions that everyone is talking
about these days!  To answer them I've been 
interviewing a lot of publishers who have made the
switch to learn what worked and what didn't.

In general (and this is vague) if you go to paid
expect anywhere from .5-6% of your subscribers to
switch depending on your perceived value. (That
matters more than your price!)
