opt-in is when someone has to take an action to sign up (in 
other words they must click or fill in a box) - double opt-in 
is where, once they have opted in, they are asked to confirm 
that they really did want what they said they wanted.

2. thank you for signing up. Click here to confirm that you 
really want to receive it.

2 distinct and seperate choices made by the consumer
