[epub] Re: Archiving past issues

This is what I do to archive my HTML ezine, InfoConneXions:

I name my files using their edition number. So, my files are named 
Edition29.html , Edition30.html, and so on.

I upload these to my archives section, and link to them from my main 
archives page, as you can see at the following url :

http://www.babynamesindia.com/infoconnexions/archives/index.htm

UTOTD:

I've made my archives "subscriber only" starting with the last couple of 
editions
and this has *increased* the subscriptions to my newsletter!!

How, you may ask.

1. I have made sure that some of my best editions are publicly available. 
So, a Potential Subscriber (PS) can take a look at my newsletter's quality 
and make sure this is something she wants, before subscribing to it.

2. Then once I have my PS's interest, I invoke her curiosity by conveying 
the message that they would have to be a subscriber to access my latest 
'power packed' editions. So, she would *have* to subscribe to get access to 
that 'secret url'.

As you probably already know, curiosity and impatience are two major 
factors in making them hit that 'subscribe' button.

It may not be the greatest copy, but it sure is helping me get new 
subscribers :-)
