I disagree with this. I don't post ANY samples. You want to see my ezine, then you have to give me something in return - your email address and your name at least. THAT's why I do an ezine - to get leads. 

I do agree that no two issues are the same. That's why I subscribe to an ezine and STAY subscribed usually for several weeks or months, depending on the frequency of publication. I want to get a real feel for the publication.

Doing what you do to get access to the archives to me is, forgive the bluntness, unprofessional. How would you feel if several hundred people a day did that on YOUR list? You ARE a publisher, I assume.

If that happened on my list, I'd make the archives even harder to access than they already are. My archives are not open to the public - only my subscribers and the archives are password protected. Right now, I only have the archives set up for my paid for newsletter, but we are setting up the archives for our free newsletter as well. That one will also be password protected.

Our philosophy is that we are trying to build a community of loyal subscribers/customers. To me that is the primary reason for doing the ezine. We also provide a forum and are adding additional community building features that will be available only to subscribers.
