[epub] increase subscriber base

I've been lurking for a couple of weeks now. Thought I'd ask a couple of questions.

Maria, I have bookmarked your article on using article banks. This is a great way to
earn free publicity, but I would also like to see info on markets that pay for
non-fiction articles. Any recommendations?

I took over ownership of  an email newsletter, eBook Ecstasy, in May and would like
to increase the subscriber base. Have done the usual things, listed with search
engines, announcements lists, ad exchange, but have added only 70 new subscribers in
three months.
