Re: [epub] ON - Line eZines vs. Email versions
<< It surprised me that you would think this way since you're in the
printing business. How can your clients send you camera ready
work if not in PDF format? Just curious...
  >>

PDF is used in the printing business for proofs, not for the original artowrk.
For printing and other files as well, we accept mostly Adobe Illustrator
and Photoshop. We also accept Quark Xpress and Pagemaker, PDF is at the
bottom of the list.

But the majority of our subscribers are laymen who want to learn marketing
techniques. They don't want to get elaborate with printing.
We print pens and post-it notes and labels, etc. but most jobs are simply
lines
of copy.

90% of our customers send us line copy or tif files in Photoshop or Word
files.
They aren't other printers who we deal with, they are mom and pop businesses
who just want simple printed pens, frisbees, etc. to promote their businesses.
These are our subscribers and they don't really like using PDF files.

We have gone back to the regular email ezines with a link to our more colorful
HTML format on line.
