The  point  is  not wether PDF is used as a key format in the printing
bussiness  or  not.  The  important thing is that (if I have not mixed
everything  in  my  mind  -  correct  me  if  I  am wrong) MOST of the
publishing   formats  (be  it  Adobe  Illustrator,  Photoshop,  Quark,
Pagemaker or even Word) can be converted into PDF very easily (and the
other way too). Think of doing this with HTML! The idea is that if you
already  publish  an  offline magazine, the cheapest way for you to go
online  (and probably get additional income that way) is to use PDF as
an epublishing format.
