EPUB Archives [Thread Prev][Thread Next][Thread]Re: [epub] Editor's Notes Protocol
Jennifer asks: >Does anyone have any advice about when, if, and how to use an editor's note >when there's a minor problem with newsletter distribution (e.g., a one-day delay in newsletter distribution)? Speaking personally, I have on occasion had to delay publishing my ezine by a day or even a week. I made a choice to NOT mention the delay, figuring that if readers were looking forward to receiving it (which most of them did), that delay would heighten their expectations - and I compensate by putting out some extra special content. There are many things that YOU as ezine publisher think are very important - but readers couldn't care less about. My suggestion would be to not issue editorial comments, apologies or clarifications unless the problem is really major, or many readers are complaining about it. Just my opinions, I'd be interested in seeing how many publishers issue apologies/editorial notes about delayed issues. -- Dr.Mani Sivasubramanian The Ezine Marketing Center -- Helps You Harness the Incredible Power of Ezine Marketing -- Responsibly http://www.EzineMarketingCenter.com Subscribe FREE to Ezine Launch Monthly mailto: ezl-weekly-subscribe@topica.com >>> Attention Publishers <<< Opt-Influence wants you! http://opt-influence.com/publishers/index.php We have advertisers looking for publications in the areas of travel, IT professionals, human resources, small brick & mortar businesses, home improvement and games.
