a question to all on ad swaps - 

we currently provide ad swaps to our member base (about 125 
highly targeted opt-in publishers) and they are very successful 
with them. The reason we only do it in network is because we 
can control all the factors - be sure of insertion, the quality 
of the publication and the lists, delivery, audit results, 
transfer names, enhance targeting, be sure people receive the 
same amount of insertions as they provide in their 
publications, etc. Our members would like to expand the list of 
publishers they could swap with outside the network (and we are 
interested in doing so) but with lots of people using home made 
software or unauditable software the question is: 

"Is there any efficient way we could go out of network and be 
provided with reliable data from the multitude of outside 
resources to be sure our members are getting what they 
expect"?????  

We would want to know the list is active, up-to-date, opt-in 
subscribers, regularly mailed to with relevant content, etc. 
and that the format we use for consistent messaging is followed 
(our publishers create a section of their message and place a 
recommended publication button with some content (80 - 120 
words - maybe a small image), a sign-up link, and from the sign-
up link another link to view a prior issue).

It is not about price as the only fee charged is a small 
administration fee to oversee the insertions. This is also why 
we only work directly with publishers and agencies.
