The Moondance addresses
suddenly began receiving a barrage of email aimed at Afro-Americans.

OOOH.... on my old @home addy (before we switched to @comcast last
month), I constantly got Spam addressed to California residents only
(plumbing companies even!).  I live on the OTHER coast (Virginia) so I
got a snicker out of these - like I'd really hire a plumber or home
improvement company out of San Diego based on Spam.

And I won't begin to get started on the porn spam I was receiving - it
got so bad that I had to set up a separate email filter to catch most of
the words since I have young children who read over my shoulder.  My
spam has decreased since my @home addies went by the wayside, but I
still get it.  The other day I got an extremely graphic porn message
that went into my Spam box and was addressed to my webmaster addy (which
I NEVER use).

I have NO idea where they get their demographic info.  There may be a
Debbie Adams in southern California, but I ain't her!   I don't respond
to spam - I report it to Spamcop or delete it.  I guess what's the
funniest is someone who sends me a spam claiming I subscribed to their
list using a particular addy when that addy is never used for anything
but forwarding to my other accounts!
