I don't know about other email clients, but
mine showed all @ symbols above. So, I will
explain further...

& amp; (without the space between & and a) is equivalent
to @

Example: merle& amp;mcpromotions.com (again, without the space) 

Hope that clears it up a little.

Well, if it can be encoded, it can be decoded. It's all
a matter of difficulty and annoyance. I could write
a script which could grab an email address encoded
as above. (of course, I wouldn't do it to steal addresses,
but might do it just to prove I could! :) )
