EPUB Archives [Thread Prev][Thread Next][Thread][epub] Help with WorldwideLists
Can someone help me here? I'm being dunned by Worldwide Lists to the tune of around $185 for February. A bit of history with about this. After being with WWL since July 01, I'd been feeling increasingly uncomfortable about them but when Epub went silent in September I was unable to get any feedback from other ezine owners about them. Finally this list popped back up and I immediately asked about WWL and after listening to you folks made the decision to drop my service with them. I wrote to them on 2/21 listing my complaints and received this reply two days later: > Our subscription agreements are 7-days til forbid which means your cancellation will be effective on March 2, 2002. < No mention was made at all of my complaints and problems with them. All subscriber reports I received afterwards were ignored. Now I'm being dunned by them. Two days ago I sent them a letter with my duplicates listed (but I refused to count them as they really screwed up bad at the on the early part of Feb and one day I had 150 new listings and out of those only about 10 were good addies. My letter to them is under my sig since its fairly long. Today - another dun letter - a duplicate of that two days ago and not a hint they'd recieved my letter the other day. No credit for the duplicate addies. My funds have totally dried up with ad revenue and I plan on paying them when I have a bit of money, but I want credit for the massive screwups they did last month (at least 200 which equal $30). But apparently they've turned into the wonderful responsive company that was all too willing to send me a bunch of addies (most of which were bad) to a company with a deaf ear. I'd even love to know who to complain to about this unethical treatment. Like I said - I'm willing to pay the amount I actually owe, after the credits, but it will have to be in payments, but nope - they want ALL their money right now regardless of my concerns.
