Ravi,

I joined ListBot when it was launched by the originator with a lifetime
membership (I knew a good deal when I saw it). They had me participate in
multiple focus groups over 6 months or so in their San Francisco office.
They listened to the input from those groups and improved the service
dramatically over time.

Then Microsoft bought them out.

I was invited to another focus group and it was instantly clear that they
discounted most opinions offered by those attending. They gave us a
T-shirt for our thoughts and sent us away. I never heard from them again.
But Microsoft honored that lifetime membership as a condition of sale, I
suppose, because I still have the active account.

It is easy to jump ship if you have nothing invested in the trip. I paid
for a lifetime premium membership at ListBot and expected to use that
benefit fully, and as I haven't died yet, I'll continue to expect premium
service. I paid for it. I also have over 100 links to their subscription
form in my ezine archive and throughout my site.

Now I already use multiple other list hosts for differing list
distribution services. I host a large daily horoscope list with
ListChannel from Slingshotmedia.com and operate an free article
distribution service through Yahoo Groups (they have their own
difficulties with that new spamming policy they are instituting this
month.)

The ListChannel service is excellent, with the best customer service I
have ever experienced online - Bar None! Bob Cortez and Sharon Tucci have
worked with me repeatedly over glitches. I highly recommend their services
without hesitation.

Yahoo stinks, but it's free. I'll put up with their ads, but not the spam.

I intend to migrate my own weekly ezine to ListChannel after this latest
stupidity from ListBuilder because I just can't stand it anymore. I also
believe that making a fuss over poor customer service is important to do.
Slinking away quietly benefits no one, even those who accept the lowest
common denominator service provided my massive corporations.

My apologies if you see this post again, but I do spread it around when
I'm unhappy AND when I'm happy. So I'll wrap this up on a positive note by
mentioning those places I'm very pleased with.

http://www.ListChannel.com and Slingshotmedia.com Premium customer
service.
I am an affiliate with ListChannel, but notice that I didn't give my
affiliate ID

Inethosts.com hosting and low-cost domain name reservations. Premium
customer service
I am not affiliated with InetHosts.com other than as a very happy
customer.

Epub discussion list where I learn valuable stuff all the time and vent a
couple times per year about poor service. ;-)
