In the Win98 version of Eudora 5.0.2, go to 
Tools-->Options-->Viewing Mail, and UNcheck "Use Microsoft's viewer."


While you're at it:

Tools-->Options-->Viewing Mail, and UNcheck "Allow executables in HTML content."
Tools-->Options-->MAPI, and check "Warn on MAPI autosend of messages."
Tools-->Options-->Extra Warnings, and check "Launch a program from a message."
Tools-->Options-->Extra Warnings, and check "Launch a program externally."
