That's the whole point of my post!

When you receive and trigger an infected message the virus picks up an 
eMail address from your address book (you don't have to have posted it 
on the internet - it infects YOUR computer), then spoofs the outgoing 
message to make it look like that address sent it. You can avoid 
putting your eMail address in the wild as much as you like, but it 
doesn't matter. All it takes is ONE of your subscribers to get infected 
and your address to be picked up for the damage to start happening.

In other words:

virus sent to ross.hall@xxxxxxxxxxxx
first address in address book is lisa@xxxxxxxxxxx
infected virus passed on to others APPEARING to come from 
lisa@xxxxxxxxxxx from ross.hall@xxxxxxxxxxxx computer.


Nor will it pass. Now the code is in the wild other virus writers will 
take and adapt the code.

The fact I have more than 200 trapped and infected messages received in 
a 5 day period and another 20 sent TODAY to one of my addresses is 
proof positive that the average Internet user not only doesn't know 
about viruses but probably doesn't care!
