Janet,
I see advantages of both ways.
I like the current way because I can post from my ISP address but
use my company address in the message for correspondence.
On the other hand you have people who don't put the e-mail
address in the message.
Maybe if you keep the current way you should return posts with no
e-mail or name present before letting the message get posted.
I've also seen mailing software that puts both the sender's name
and e-mail in the from line along with the e-mail of the list.
That could even be an option.
