Hi Jill.

I'm in the process of doing that very thing, this very day.  And I'm going 
to be testing several methods of getting conversions from among my existing 
subscribers, who are bewilderingly loyal-but-cheap.  Some of them have been 
with me since I started publishing in 1999, but would drop me like a hot 
potato if I hadn't come up with a free version of my newsletter.

Anyway, I could probably do a running commentary on the trials and 
tribulations of going paid, and I expect I'd answer all your questions 
along the way. ;-D
