[epub] Ad Swaps

Have any of you swapped ads in your ezines with publishers of
other ezines? I'm especially interested in learning about whether
you have done this with ezines you have never heard of. How do
you determine which ezines would be best for your advertising?
Has this been a successful strategy for you to build your list?

I have swapped articles (not ads) with a couple of other
publishers whom I know either personally or by reading their
ezines and posts to listservs. I have not yet swapped with
others. I worry about:

--Are these ezines reputable?
--Do they target the same market I do?

Any thoughts?
