Caveat to that link of thinking....

I'd suggest putting the first resubscribe instruction within the 
wording of the first paragraph rather than having it as a stand out 
piece of text (ad) as this is a huge turn-off for a lot of people.

Just threw this together, but maybe something like.....


Dear ......,

Last year you were a subscriber to xxx eZine, which covered the 
different ways you could walk on a beach. For various reasons I had to 
stop producing the thing, but now I am restarting it. Attached is the 
first of these new issues and you can continue to receive these 
wonderful things by resubscribing at http://youraddress/resubscribe
