For me, it's more convenient to have the list address as the "from." My spam filtering software (I'm still happily using Eudora 6) will whitelist an address. That means that individually addressed posts end up in my "junk" box, where I only see them days or weeks later.

Hi Doug:

Although we didn't take a formal vote, I heard from enough list members on the list and in private posts to me that they preferred to go back to the old way, of identifying posts from the individual sender. However, I also use Eudora, and I have set it to filter on "any recipient," which shows the list sending address, instead of "from" which shows the author's address. Can you configure your whitelist to use the sending address -- epub@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx -- instead of the author's name?

Janet
