After I overcame the overwhelming stupidity of the idea of sending out a "did you get this eMail" eMail, I thought I'd go back over the notes and check. I've spoken to 4 people who I know well enough to call. 1 is a supplier who dropped a message from my personal account, which is used to send out a limited opt-in mailing. The other 3 were on The View mailing list, and none got the last issue. I believe that AOL are operating a service-side blocking facility, a little like Yahoo! do, that traps all incoming mail. It does appear that this service may be bypassing the address book, so if you as AOL have got someone in your address book it may be there is no guarantee the message arrives. Not being an AOL user (my record for greatest delay between new account and adult content floating my way is 35 minutes) I don't have the facility to test this. All very frustrating at the moment, although I have to say again that an eMail to AOL via their site may be in order to try and at least work through the blocks.
