Yes exactly.


An example if you are using sendmail:

open "/etc/mail/mailertable" and add the following line for example aol.com

aol.com smtp:smtp.isp.com

ADDITION:
after doing this you need to do this command at the prompt:

"makemap hash /etc/mail/mailertable < /etc/mail/mailertable"


In order to use the above you need
"FEATURE(`mailertable',`hash -o /etc/mail/mailertable')dnl" in your 
sendmail.mc file.



Note:
EVERYTHING I've stated earlier requires you to be root on the machine you 
want to do this on.
