I don't believe is a fair comparison.  There is an old saying that "All
things being equal, people would rather do business with their friends.  And
all things being less than equal, people would STILL rather do business with
their friends."

The fact that YOU are promoting YOUR system in YOUR ezine to YOUR readers
(friends) SHOULD show much higher numbers than the same system be promoted
by someone who is not connected with your product/service.

I bet you would see the same results in the non-virtual world if you
compared the number of people you contacted in person to sell your product
vs. the number of people a telemarketer or some other unconnected third
party might contact on your behalf.
