The bottom line is that we do our best to help our ezines go through.  I
send out my ezine, and what happens, happens.

Some aol users know to go into their spam bin.
Others don't.

All I can do is my best.  I dont' see any different in going through a ESP
(email service providers) to send my ezine, which is something someone
brought up, because even topica's paid service has problems with ISP's.
I've heard horror stories with folks who have paid for their ezines to get
through and then they don't get through anyway.

As far as sending an ezine out, + a notice that you've sent it to them... I
don't do that, and I leave ezines who send me more mail than I "paid" for.

Keep it simple.  The clients who want to get to you... will.  And to me,
that's the bottom line.  Ezines are for promotion of my services.  They're
to keep me in front of people to remember.
