You can look up registered US trademarks quickly on the USPTO website using the "TESS" system. Here's the website: http://tess2.uspto.gov/bin/gate.exe?f=tess&state=rghhah.1.1 

 

It's not foolproof, but you can quickly do a preliminary trademark search this way.

 

There are no trademarks registered for SR Haden Industries. When I searched for SR Haden Industries, I found what looks to be a squatter, registering rather generic website names. You might want to check with your attorney, but this looks like someone who is up to no good to me.

 

Personally, I wouldn't go to great trouble to research and make sure the author dotted every "i" and crossed every "t". Again, I'm not an attorney so you should discuss this with an attorney if you feel a need.
