I've come to the conclusion the folks just don't' get that they're asking
for advise and should be paying for it.  It's up to me to set boundaries;
even if that means I'm going to piss them off.  Why?  Cause my ideal client
KNOWS that my 30 odd years of biz experience are worth something!  In fact
one of my recent "ideal clients" said that she knows I'm expensive, but
having worked with me before, she also knows that she'll reach her goal
quicker, because of my expertise ;)  Now universe... send me more of that
type of client!


I've done these things to curtail the freebies:

1) A few months ago I initiated a PPQ pay per question program for $27.  Ask
me a question, I'll answer it in an email of no more than 3 paragraphs for
$27 I have more info at  www.coachmaria.com/programs.html

2) Did this a week ago, ...on my web site contact page
www.coachmaria.com/contactmaria.html  I now state that I don't give out free
advise.  Now not everyone see's that ;)  however, it's been much better in
the past 8 days.  Only two requests for free information, and neither person
came from my web site addy.

3) I send folks to the article I wrote on Freebie Seekers ;)

4) I tell folks that they can ask me a question, then join my ezine to see
if I answer it there.

5) I started an email discussion list for folks to ask questions.  I don't
plan on answering all of them myself; actually I'll answer those that I can
answer by sending someone to my website.  If folks want to ask, they can see
if anyone is willing to provide them with answers.
