[epub] Re: Ezine Testing: What if you don't like what you find?
Funny you mention that Mani,

I split-tested "Craig Garber's Tip Of The Week" as a subject
line, versus "kingofcopy.com: followed by the headline of
that weeks tip", and "Craig Garber's Tip Of The Week"
outpulled by 3%.

*Chris, I was pretty amazed too when I tested different
SUBJECT
*lines with the same message. Open rates were near
identical.
*
*I then polled a segment of the list about it - and they
said:
*
*"Why, we read *anything* you send me, Dr.Mani... when I see

*your name, I click to open it!"
*
*You've got even higher name recognition with your list. I
*know I always read epub posts from you!
*
*So if you're looking to test that element, you'd probably
have
*to figure out a way to either eliminate the 'Sparky' factor
by
*using a different subject line, or use some form of multi-
*variable testing (Marty Foley recently announced a script
*which does it for websites, not sure if it works for
email).
*
*Hope this helps
