Co-Registration Services, Part I By Brian Alt

The newest buzz word on the Net these days is "co-registration." Broadly speaking, that word refers to the practice of referring leads, subscriptions, or memberships concurrent with another registration process. This might occur a couple of different ways:
Visitors signing up for a free subscription or other service are offered the chance to opt-in to other offers on the "thank-you page" that appears after the initial registration.
Visitors to a site are given the chance to opt-in to multiple publications or lists simultaneously. These sites have been referred to as "pay-per-subscriber directories" in the past, but they also fit the description of co-registration services.
The idea of co-registration is very much related to "thank-you page" joint ventures discussed here previously. The primary distinction is that co-registration "services" usually charge for referrals. For more on thank-you page partnerships, see here.
Today's tip offers an alphabetical listing of co-registration service providers, while tomorrow's tip will look at some pointers to use these services effectively, as well as some pitfalls to avoid.
Everyone.net - Offers "premium" and "standard" co-registration options on a variety of Web sites.
FreeShop - A popular pay-per-referral service with an "email newsletters" category. http://www.freeshop.com/ o ListOpt Publications - A categorized email newsletter directory that refers subscribers for $0.15 each.

If you've had experiences -- good or bad -- with any of the companies above, I would like to hear about it. Also, if there are other co-registration services you know of that aren't listed here, give me a "heads up."
