Email List Member Permission Shift

Many email publishers make it difficult for their members to get off their list, as if they think they can hold them hostage. That thinking is so 1990's. Today, at the moment an email list member wants to get off your list, you no longer have permission to send them any more emails.
I'm not saying that you need to be able to read the mind of your email list membership base -- but I am saying that you want to make it easier for them to get off your list. Holding them hostage is an integrity breaker.
Go take a review of your unsubscription instructions and if it takes an email list member more than 2 seconds to figure out how to get off your list -- you may wish to fix that today. :-)
