New Ezine Directory: Ezine-Universe.com

Hi folks,

I mentioned yesterday that today's tip would be a kind of "sneak preview", so here it goes:

We've just finished Ezine-Universe.com and you folks get to be the first publishers to submit to the directory ;-) Today's tip will discuss how to get your ezine listed.

We've set this one up "Yahoo!-style", meaning you have to browse to the appropriate subcategory of the directory to submit. (Do this by browsing the links, not searching, as search results are not a "category".) Once you've found the category most appropriate for your ezine, click "Submit an Ezine" from the top menu of that page. You will be taken to a submit form with the category already filled in.

Please be prepared to include your name and email address (for notification only - not publicly listed), ezine title, website URL if available, email subscription information, circulation, frequency, description, and keywords.

For website URL, be sure to list a page of your site that has information about your ezine. If our editors have to go hunting for this information, your ezine will probably be rejected. If you don't have a website for your ezine (shame on you ;-), include a "mailto:" link in the URL field, as you won't be able to submit without something in this field.

Write your description in third person. Don't make it sound like an ad, don't USE ALL CAPS, and don't Capitalize Every Word.

Separate your search terms with spaces, not commas. You're probably having deja vu right now if you've ever submitted to EzineSeek :)

Ezine-Universe.com is for email-based ezines only. Web-based ezines or email discussion lists won't be added. The discussion list counterpart of Ezine-Universe.com will be launched in a week or two.

Your submission will be approved or rejected within 48 business hours. The ranking feature that I mentioned in yesterday's article is a big part of Ezine-Universe.com. You'll be informed how to implement this in the welcome message your receive when your ezine is approved.
