NEW-LIST, an email list and Web site operated by the Internet Scout Project in the Computer Sciences Department at the University of Wisconsin--Madison, announced it has moved to its permanent home at Classroom Connect, which develops original, Web-based curriculum products and professional development programs for K-12 education.

The NEW-LIST mailing list continues to provide the Internet community with prompt notification of the creation of a new mailing list on any given topic.

Until now, the Internet Scout Project has provided NEW-LIST free of charge as a service to the Internet community. Classroom Connect now secures control of the list and will continue to provide the same services to the Internet community.

Beginning July 1, 1998, the NEW-LIST mailing list was brought under the umbrella of services provided by the Internet Scout Project. The mailing list was founded in January 1989 by Marty Hoag at North Dakota State University. Gleason Sackmann, who has been with Classroom Connect since November 1999, now edits and moderates the list.
