Hosted-Email Market: $3.1 Billion by '07 Print | Email This | Bookmark | Subscribe
PALO ALTO, Calif. -- The global market for hosted and managed email services, expected to generate about $2.3 billion in 2003, could reach $3.1 billion by 2007, according to a new study.
The Radicati Group, a market-research and consulting firm specializing in technology, predicted in a recent study that the business market for hosted or managed email services will grow because of demands for greater services from more complex corporate IT environments, more stable and trustworthy service providers, and more development of more advanced collaborative messaging platforms.
The study also predicted growth from consumers who are more willing to pay for advanced email services from Web-based providers or ISPs, especially in countries outside North America and Europe, where Internet use is just beginning to grow.
