internet.com (Nasdaq NM:INTM), a leading provider of global real-time news and information resources for the Internet industry, headquartered in Darien, Conneticut, announced today it has launched CyberAtlas, a new research division that will publish reports analyzing the Internet and information-technologies sectors worldwide.

"Publishing research analysis and data is a natural business extension for internet.com," said Alan M. Meckler, chairman and CEO of internet.com Corp. "One might say that this is the third leg to the stool in terms of our businesses in that we have our online publishing brands featuring internet.com and EarthWeb, we have our growing seminar business with over 20 offline events that have run or are scheduled this year, and now we have the research division. All three areas (online publishing, offline seminars and research) sell each other since they are all focused on the Internet and IT arenas, and none require marketing efforts beyond our ability to promote through the internet.com network that reaches nearly 5 million unique users every month."

In other news, Meckler announced that "pending stockholder approval, internet.com is changing its corporate name to INT Media Group, Inc. INT Media Group better reflects the nature of our evolving media operations as we offer both online and offline business information."
